In December 2008 Sound Division were contacted to provide audio support for the solemn occasion of the North London memorial service for the victims of the Mumbai attacks attended by the Chief Rabbi.
The company set up a compact EV sound reinforcement system both for the main room and a satellite to an overflow section in the Annie and Samuel Levy Hall so that the large number of attendees could hear the full proceedings. For the Chief Rabbi's address a pair of specialist AKG C747 pencil lectern mics were used to ensure the highest quality sound reproduction processed through a Yamaha 12-channel mixing desk. A digital laptop recording system was also provided to ensure that the proceedings were available for posterity.
It was critical the event went without a hitch to preserve the dignity of the occasion and Sound Division provided an experienced sound technician, William Flowers, to engineer the audio during the service.
Sound Divison MD, David Graham said "It was an honour to be asked to work on such an event and to be trusted to provide a suitable system for this type of high-profile occasion."
