Sound Division's Seasonal Success!
The Sound Division Group's Technical Event and Hire Departments' full diary of Christmas and New Year celebrations brought the year to a spectacular climax, providing full spec. technical solutions to Event organisers and venues.
Sounds Good To Me (Entertainments) were called upon to play for many regular clients, providing back-to-back music at the capital's leading venues.
Event Organisers Interact, asked The Sound Division Technical Events team to specify and install PA, DJ control and event lighting for the Universal NBC party at Bloomsbury Ballroom. Sounds Good to Me DJ, Jethro East preceded a 6-piece Gospel choir and a Swing Band. The Sound Division team set up a large goalpost trussing system to cover the main Ballroom stage – featuring intelligent lighting with black starcloth backdrop and booth surround. The Ballroom's interior was dramatically lit, infusing a gentle, changing colourwash using breakup gobos which further enhanced the Christmas theme. The theme continued into the two Bar areas, where Silk Flame effects echoed the gas flambeaux which greeted the guests at the front entrance. Mirrorballs and pea light nets completed the glittering transformation. Our technical dept also supplied a full sound system for the live acts.
The season was well underway! Sounds Good To Me DJs also played at the following...
- Bentleys Champagne & Oyster Bar where acclaimed owner, chef Richard Corrigan was hosting a private party.
- The Debenhams Christmas party held at celebrity haunt, Paper, Regent Street. Headlining act, DJ legend Norman Jay was supported by Sound Division's Elliot Patterson and rising new Sounds Good to Me DJ, Kid Circus.
- Networking private members club The Hospital held their staff party at Dean Street's hot new venue Club Maya.
- Car giants HR Owen Volvo partied at The Lansdowne Club.
- DJ Matt Rickard had Endemol partying until the early hours at Pacha.
- Kid Circus DJ'd for The Science Museum's staff party for the second year running.
- The Royal Automobile Club, saw in the New Year with DJ Jethro East.
- DJ Jo Lively ensured Chelsea's 606 Jazz Club blew their horns loud at their NYE organised event, held in St James's prestigious Quaglino's Restaurant.
Riding high in the Sound Division Group's seasonal top party countdown 2007 were two New Year's Eve production events:
Regular client, The Morgan Hotels Group, organised large parties at their prestigious nightspots St Martins Lane and the Sanderson.
Basement Jaxx headlined at St Martins Lane, Asia De Cuba. Our technical team supplied DJ control to enable Basement Jaxx to remix their songs 'live' on the night. PA equipment and interior lighting were used throughout the venue.
An exotic start to the New Year had been planned at the Sanderson. Immodesty Blaize kicked off the New Year by performing her burlesque dance routine. The Sound Division Group provided full technical production for the New Years' Eve celebrations at this prestigious venue, providing lighting, sound, video and live cameras. Plasma screens and projectors were used to display the live images and pre-recorded films. LED, moving head and generic lighting fittings were used to create the dazzling effects within the Long Bar and Courtyard. A three zone sound system was installed to give coverage to the entire venue and a complete DJ control booth system, as well as full audio mixing facilities, was supplied to accommodate the various live acts.
