Sound Division aid supports Naomi's press announcement
The Sound Division Group technical team assembled a full public address specification, ensuring complete audio support to celebrity supermodel, Naomi Campbell at her recent media press conference.
Held at the Rotary Club's headquarters in Regents Park, Naomi Campbell, accompanied by fellow models Elle Macpherson, Jodie Kidd and Yasmin Le Bon, had come to announce a 'Fashion For Relief' catwalk show and auction in support of this years' UK flood victims.
Naomi Campbell was involved with a previous 'Fashion For Relief' charity event, held in 2005, which raised a million dollars in aid of the victims of Hurricane Katrina in the US.
Anticipating an exceptionally high turn-out from the press and media, in order to achieve optimum, full-range sound coverage within a confined space at maximum capacity, the SDG technical team supplied stand mounted EV SX 300 loudspeakers driven by Crown CE 1000 amplification and controlled by the Allen & Heath 16-channel Mix Wizard.
Individual Shure Gooseneck table-base and hand-held radio mic systems were installed, front-of-house and direct audio feeds were supplied to radio and camera crews from the BBC, ITN, Radio One, LBC, Heart FM and the French Fashion Agency.
Accompanied by a Sound Division event technician at the sound mixing desk, Naomi and her invited speakers were assured of an uninterrupted, fully audible and crystal clear delivery of her announcement to the waiting journalists, throughout the entire conference.
'Fashion for Relief' took place at the culmination of London Fashion Week in 'The White Tent' at the Natural History Museum on 20 September and gathered many of the world's renowned and respected fashion clothing giants.
Featuring legendary models and celebrities such as Helena Christensen, Linda Evangeslista, Gwen Stefani, Thandie Newton, Tyson Beckford, Leah Wood and Lily Cole, all money raised through sponsorship, ticket sales, online clothing auction and donation will go directly to the Rotary Flood Relief Appeal.
