Hot new music system for Latin American Casa in Soho
Señor Ceviche is a lively Latin American eaterie serving a mix of the “naughty and healthy” at Kingly Court, off London’s world famous Carnaby Street in Soho. The open plan kitchen, Ceviche counter and Peruvian pisco cocktail bar brings more than “a slice of downtown Lima to busy Soho.”
The Señor’s stripped back, bohemian interior is all about good times, Barranco casa-style. Hot Latin beats are matched by a menu featuring a heady mix of the “fiery, crispy and tangy.” Showcased is Ceviche - a popular Peruvian seafood dish, typically made from fresh, raw fish cured in lemon or lime, and spiced with aji or chilli pepper.
Clear top end and warm, tight bass
Sound Division was asked to install a high quality music system with the all-important, clear top end and warm, tight bass. The Señor also needed a system capable of providing background music levels during the daytime and early evening, then deliver louder, punchier levels for evening and late night when the atmosphere needs ramping up into party mode.
Four Martin Audio F10+ speakers were specified, powered by a Crown XTi4000 power amplifier and sound managed through a simple Cloud CX263 zoning mixer. JBL ceiling speakers were installed in the washroom areas and hand remotes installed behind the bar for easy local control. A DJ plug-in point was also installed for DJ live performance.
Señor Ceviche proprietor, Harry Edmeades was delighted with the result, “Sound Division came highly recommended. They were professional and easy to work with, and did a great job installing our sound system at Señor Ceviche. It really does help to create the right atmosphere for our customers to have a great time with us.”
