Decca records Label Launch at the Criterion Restaurant
On February 6th Sound Division were asked to take care of the technical event production for the Decca Label launch at the Criterion in Piccadilly Circus.
Paul Moseley, MD of Decca Classics and Dickon Stainer, president of Decca Records Group hosted the event. Guests at the event included Paul Gambaccini and John Suchet who enjoyed performances by a selection of Decca classical artists including soprano Aleksandra Kurzak and celebrated tenor Joseph Calleja.
Four 50” NEC plasma screens on parabella stands, a Denon DNV210 DVD player and a Kramer distribution amplifier were used to display the Decca showreel around the dining room. A high quality but discreet Nexo sound reinforcement system was provided comprising of four compact NEXO PS8’s strategically placed around the dining room. A Soundcraft MFX mixing desk and a Shure ULX radio microphone system were used to provide perfect sound reproduction for the presentation speeches.
Guests were treated to some delicious offerings from the high class Criterion Restaurant and entertained with performances from the Decca classical artists, accompanied by a pianist playing a grand Steinway piano on the terrace.
Hannah Berry, marketing and events manager for the restaurant, commented that she was pleased with the efficient and discreet way the system was set up and operated, and the client was very happy with the quality of the sound and video reproduction.
