Royal Wedding at Criterion Restaurant
On April 29th Sound Division was happy to be asked back by the Criterion to provide screens and a sound system for guests to watch the Royal Wedding.
The restaurant had pre-sold all the tables for a special Royal Wedding lunch menu complete with champagne. This posed an interesting challenge as a temporary aerial had to be erected outside the restaurant.
Because of the ensuing road closures the equipment had to be delivered and set up during the night before the big day but only after the restaurant had closed. This required the Sound Division technical team to work until the early hours of the morning to ensure that everything was ready for the big day.
Four NEC 50” plasma televisions were set up in the main restaurant and a 60” screen on the rear terrace. Several NEXO PS8 compact speakers allowed guests to view the proceedings in high definition with excellent sound quality.
Hannah Berry, marketing and events manager, commented that the luncheon had been an absolute success with many guests enjoying the audio visual and dining experience so much that they stayed for the whole day, indulging in afternoon tea and cake!
